The Carrickdale Hotel is located right in the middle between Dublin and Belfast, so you get a choice of 3 airports!

It's great value to hire a car from the airports for the weekend and prices for a 5 seat car start at approximately £55 for an entire weekend. The route from each airport is along a motorway and the hotel is just off the N1 motorway. We promise no Irish country roads (unless you head out on an adventure! Which we would encourage) 

A car journey takes approximately 50 minutes from Dublin or Belfast.

The hotel has free parking for guests. It is easily accessed from both Dublin and Belfast via the A1 Belfast / N1 Dublin. 

 

By Bus

• Take the Bus Line 100X Towards Dundalk. Transfer at the station “The Long Walk” Dundalk

• Take the Bus Line 160 towards Newry. This Bus stops directly outside the Carrickdale Hotel

• PLEASE. NOTE* The last bus to leave Dundalk Bus Station is at 18:10, if your bus from the airport arrives after this, there will be a shuttle bus. To avail of the shuttle bus you need to contact us at Trinityswing3@gmail.com and let us know that you are arriving late and what time you are likely to arrive at Dundalk Bus Station.

Belfast (Aldergrove) Airport (BFS), Northern Ireland

 

• Take the Bus line 300a towards the Belfast Grand Central Station, Belfast

• At Grand Central Station, Transfer to Bus Line 238 towards Newry Bus Centre   

• From Newry Bus Station, take the 160 Bus Éireann to Dundalk via Ravensdale and get off at Carrickarnon (this is literally outside the hotel)

• PLEASE. NOTE* The last bus to leave Newry Bus Station is at 18:45, if your bus from the airport arrives after this, there will be a shuttle bus. George Best City Airtport

Belfast City Airport (BHD), Northern Ireland

 

• Belfast City Airport has a designated Airport Express 600 Service which buses passengers every 30 minutes during peak times from the front of the terminal building to Grand Central Station in the centre of town. The journey only takes around 10 minutes. 

• At Grand Central Station, Transfer to Bus Line 238 towards Newry Bus Centre
